I mostly tutor the subject of chemistry. I attended the schools of Indiana University and Universidad Simon Bolivar. I have taught college courses for over a decade. I worked in private industry for a while and use the work experiences I had for motivating students. I can show them how what they learn in the classroom can relate to their post-school careers. I know that students' attitudes and studies improve when they can foresee practical future applications of what they presently study. I teach my chemistry courses to give students concepts in the forms of mental maps. This method has proven to increase retention and problem solving ability. Through my past experience I know which chemistry problems will be the most difficult for students to comprehend. Chemistry involves a dedication to following certain steps and procedures carefully, or the results of research experiments and work could end up a disaster. Chemistry is definitely a dangerous science and I try to get my students to have a professional attitude and always to give safety first priority. I listen to music to relax and I like symphonic metal and other types of rock music. I find my music interest can relate to some students who may like similar music.
